5. Ricky Steamboat vs Randy ‘Macho Man’ Savage – WrestleMania III

The first ever ‘show stealer’ match of a Maina card, this carefully put together match between Savage and Steamboat was as good theater for a Mania match as you would get. An awesome build with Steamboat wanting a measure of revenge for Savage’s attack on him, and Savage as the budding star of the company giving an incredible performance as the heel champion. Steamboat won it finally in 14:35 to win the belt, but little did the crowd know that Savage was really the winner on this night in Pontiac.
