2. Hulk Hogan vs The Rock – WrestleMania X8

I’ve heard it argued that if you watch this match with no sound, it really doesn’t grab you. But trust me from being at the SkyDome live that night in 2002, it was as hot a wrestling crowd as you will ever get. The ‘turn’ of Hogan from his NWO black back to yellow and red took place as this match no one felt they would ever see went on, and you could sense you were seeing something amazing that night in Toronto. The Rock gave it everything he had, but that night, 12 years after Hogan lost the WWF Title in the same building to the Ultimate Warrior, Hulk was the star, and he showed why he’s always going to be the Babe Ruth of wrestling.
