As the All-Star game is upon all of Major League Baseball, Baltimore Orioles shortstop Manny Machado is still the apple of a lot of teams eyes when it comes to making a deal.
The Indians are a team that have been rumored to be in the mix for sometime, but it appears that a top NL contender is ready to land the services of Machado, a player hitting .315 with 24 homers and 65 runs batted in.
#Dodgers increasingly likely to land Machado, sources tell The Athletic. Barring last-minute snag, several of interested teams expect that outcome.

It’s not known what the Dodgers are going to end up giving up for the services of Machado, who is going to be nothing more than a two-month rental, as he’s a free agent at the end of the season.
The good news is despite not the Indians getting Machado is that no other American League team is going to get him, and for at least the rest of the regular season the Indians won’t have to worry about him.
