3. Nance and Hood’s efficiency
Rodney Hood has said multiple times now that he thinks this road trip could be a big one for him individually, and for the team.
Hood got off to a good start in that regard, scoring 15 points (second only to LeBron James), seeming to be adapting well to that role as a starter. The same can be said for Larry Nance Jr.
While it wasn’t a career night like Monday, it was a solid night for Nance with a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds. He also threw in four steals for good measure. Much like we saw against Detroit, Nance was once again critical in defending a dominant big down low, this time in the form of Jokic. Yeah, Jokic still got his, but Nance still ended the night with a positive plus-minus rating at plus-5.
