Kyrie Irving’s phenomenal Game 4 performance is still being talked about two days later by reporters, players and coaches.
Tyronn Lue was asked about Irving’s strengths in 1-on-1 situations during Thursday morning’s shootaround.
“He has no offensive weaknesses,” the coach said.
“He finishes with his left, floaters with his left, floaters with his right, stepbacks, three’s – offensively, he’s a complete package. That’s why he’s so tough to stop.”
LeBron noted that Irving was made for 1-on-1 situations.
“He was born to play 1-on-1. That’s what he do,” LeBron said.
“I think what he’s improved more upon is the feel of the game and taking the time, the score, and the possessions and things of that nature and growing as a point guard and growing as a leader. But the kid was born to play 1-on-1. You have those great 1-on-1 players in our league history and he’s up there.”
Here’s a friendly reminder that Irving is only 25 years old.
