According to Stephen A. Smith of ESPN, the relationship between LeBron James and Kyrie Irving continues to deteriorate.
On Monday Stephen A. Smith said the following on his podcast from the quoted sources from James’ camp about how the relationship between Irving and James is.
The source said the following:
“If Kyrie Irving was in front of LeBron James right now, LeBron James would be tempted to beat his ass.”
Smith clarified that the issue James has with Irving isn’t the fact that Irving requested a trade out of Cleveland but the fact that Irving has perceived James as a bad teammate recently.
Smith also mentions that Irving’s camp is upset at LeBron for reportedly leaking the information about the trade request to the media.
Brian Windhorst and Zach Lowe of ESPN noted that as of now it appears the Cavaliers intend to grant the trade request from Irving.
Irving and James played together the last three years in Cleveland, went to the Finals all three years, and won an NBA Championship together in 2016.
