LeBron James dominates as Cavaliers top Wizards, 130-122; three takeaways

2. Improved Defense

As mentioned, the Cavs seemed to look better on the defensive end once LeBron James was orchestrating everything.

They didn’t struggle as much as they had been in their losing streak when defending the pick and roll. Some of that also appeared to be flat out effort, as they didn’t give up on plays and missed fewer rotations.

They gave up 11 three-pointers and caused the Wizards to cough the ball up 16 times. Eleven of those 16 turnovers were steals. Washington scored zero fast break points, meaning the Cavs did a better job in their transition defense as well.

All in all, they looked more aggressive, which only led to good things.
