LeBron James delivered an epic performance on Thursday night in front of his home crowd, tying the series at three games apiece in 115-101 victory.
The Cavs came right out from the gate, punching Golden State in the mouth, outscoring the Warriors 31-11 in the first quarter.
The Cavs were in control from there.
LeBron scored 41 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out 11 assists.
LeBron becomes the first player to score 40 or more in back-to-back games in the NBA Finals since Shaquille O’Neal did so in 2000.
LeBron received help from Kyrie Irving, who scored 23 points, J.R. Smith with 14, and Tristan Thompson posted his second-straight game with double-digit rebounds, putting up 15 points and hauling in 16 boards.
Steph Curry scored 30 points before fouling out late in the fourth quarter. Curry then threw his mouthpiece, hitting a fan, and was ejected. He apologized to the fan. Klay Thompson scored 25 points. Shaun Livingston scored 14 and the rest of the team combined for just 32 points.
Game 7 is Sunday night at 8 PM.
