LeBron James continued his dominant 2017 postseason, scoring a game-high 35 points, hitting 5-of-12 three-pointers, in Cleveland’s 109-102 victory over the Toronto Raptors in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
LeBron has scored 30 or more points in seven of the first eight Playoff games in 2017 and the Cavs are 8-0 through two rounds.
While LeBron delivered an ordinary game by his own standards in these Playoffs, it was Kyle Korver coming up big off the bench in the second quarter, scoring 16 points.
He finished with 18 on the day, but that second quarter helped Cleveland create some distance heading to halftime.
The Raptors stayed in the game until midway through the fourth quarter, when Kyrie Irving took over.
After an underwhelming first three games to the series, Irving was dominant in the fourth quarter of Game 4, scoring 11 points in a span of less than three minutes and helping Cleveland jump out to an eight-point lead with four minutes to play.
He finished with 27 points and nine assists in the win.
DeMar DeRozan (22), Cory Joseph (20) and Serge Ibaka (23) each eclipsed 20 points in the loss with Kyle Lowry injured, but it was to no avail and the Raptors’ season comes to an end.
Cleveland awaits the winner of Boston-Washington’s Eastern Conference semifinals series.
The Eastern Conference Finals will begin on either May 15 or May 17, depending on if the BOS-WAS series goes seven games.
