The latest College Football Playoff rankings were released Tuesday night and for Buckeye fans, it’s another step in the right direction. After an unsettling upset loss to Iowa on the road a few weeks ago, it appeared all hope was lost for Ohio State’s playoff chances. However, just a week later, the Buckeyes were able to stomp a mud hole in the Michigan State Spartans and make have started to make a claim to why a two-loss Big Ten team should make it into the playoffs. The Buckeyes find themselves just inside the top-ten at number nine in the CFP rankings. If Ohio State were to make it in as one of the top four teams in the nation, it would be the first time in the CFP’s existence that a two-loss team would make the playoff field.
