1.) Emmanuel Tapia perfect at the plate
Lake County Captains first baseman Emmanuel Tapia had a perfect day at the plate tonight. Tapia started his day at the plate with a 2-run homer which was his second of the season. The next three at-bats Tapia was consistent by hitting a single in each at-bat for the rest of the evening.
Tapia finished the day going 4-4 with a homer and 3 RBIs.
Captains manager Larry Day had the following to say about the day Tapia had at the plate:
“He had a nice night. He had a whole field approach at the plate tonight. Tapia was banging balls to left, the middle , and banging the ball to the right side. Him using the whole field is good for him and that is when he will have the most success.”
Emmanuel Tapia is a 21 years old left-handed hitting first baseman and was signed by the Indians as a undrafted free agent out of the Dominican Republic in January of 2013.
