It took a little more than two games (and no full practices), but Kyler Korver erupted for 18 points off the bench in Cleveland’s 120-108 win in Sacramento.
Korver started the game 0-for-2, but finally hit his first 3-pointer as a Cavalier in the second quarter and lit it up the rest of the way.
The sharpshooter knocked down 7-of-10 shots (4/6 from three-point range) over 25 minutes of action, which included crunch time in the fourth quarter.
Iman Shumpert started at shooting guard and put up 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting (4/6 from deep).
Kyrie Irving scored a game-high 26.
Kevin Love had a big night with 15 points and 18 boards.
LeBron James scored only 16 points, but passed for a season-high 15 assists.
It’s only one game, but Korver showed glimpses of how this team can look when he gets going.
Here’s what Korver had to say about the breakout performance and much-needed win, which stopped a two-game skid:
For someone who modestly says he doesn't know what he's doing out there yet, @KyleKorver sure is putting up big numbers in a @cavs uniform! pic.twitter.com/6tShrvNydo
