3. How Does He Do It?
How Good has Corey Kluber been at home this season? It’s as much of a sure thing as anything right now in baseball, as he’s 7-0 at Progressive Field, putting up over 10 K’s per home start.
He allowed a run Tuesday, his first at home in four starts, and continued to be the most stingy pitcher in all of baseball, not allowing a walk for his 5th straight outing.
Now at 9-2 on the year, he’s looking even better (as if he could get any better) than the hurler that won his second Cy Young last season with the Indians.
He said after the game it’s all about the routine of getting set to pitch every five days, but even that’s amazing considering he got an extra day to prepare for a first-place Brewers team that made him work harder than he has in a number of outings.
No matter, Kluber was up to the task per usual and made it look easy.
