The Kirtland Hornets Volleyball team defeated the Perry Pirates 3-0 in their home opener on Wednesday night.
“Today, we actually looked pretty good keeping them out of system,” said Kirtland Head Volleyball Coach Ricky Sanders. “They (Perry) had a really strong outside hitter (Madison Miner) She’s going to get her kills. But we just got to tone it down and don’t let her get on.”
The match began with Kirtland winning the first game, 25-18.
Kirtland started game one quickly by taking a 7-4 lead and then shortly thereafter went ahead 17-11.
Perry battled back in game one to make the score 22-16.
