Last week, during week three of the high school football season, Kirtland’s 57 game regular season winning streak was ended by Perry.
This Week, Kirtland began a new winning streak on Saturday night as they defeated Trinity, 56-0.
Kirtland scored early and often in the first half against Trinity taking a 42-0 first half lead.
Kirtland scored early in the first quarter as running back Will Beers scored on a short touchdown run putting
Kirtland up 7-0 with 8:44 left in the first quarter.

Kirtland scored two more touchdowns in the first quarter.
Quarterback Jake LaVerde connected with Gino Blasini for a touchdown.
This was then followed by an 84 yard touchdown run by Will Beers to make the score 21-0.

A touchdown run by Rocco Alfieri and a second touchdown pass from LaVerde to Blasini gave Kirtland a 35-0 lead with 6:16 left in the first half.

Not only was Gino Blasini catching passes on offense for touchdowns, he also returned an interception for a touchdown on defense.
With 5:54 left in the first half, Blasini had a pick six to put Kirtland ahead 42-0 going into halftime.

Kirtland would add two more touchdows in the second half on touchdown runs by Tyler Turks and Tommy Caimi to make the final score 56-0.
Kirtland will next host an undefeated Cuyahoga Heights team in a week five matchup.
