Kevin Love gets LeBron James’ All-Star Game vote

CLEVELAND– Kevin Love has at least one ringing endorsement for the All-Star Game next month.

On Sunday morning, LeBron James tweeted out his vote to send Love to the All-Star Game in Los Angeles on Feb. 18. Fans have until Jan. 15 to vote, and can do so in a variety of ways, including using Twitter, Facebook and the NBA App.

This season, Love is having his best scoring year as a member of the Cavaliers, averaging 19.8 points per game while shooting .466 from the field, the second best shooting percentage of his career. He’s also pulling down 9.8 rebounds per game.

Love is doing all of this while having to adjust to playing center from his usual power forward position. As the season has gone on, however, he has thrived in the paint against smaller defenders while having the unique ability to draw larger defenders out to the perimeter because of his shooting ability.

If Love goes to the All-Star Game, it would be his first time playing as a member of the Cavs. In 2017 he made the roster, but was forced to miss the game after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his knee. He previously played in the 2011, 2012 and 2014 All-Star Games.
