Kevin Love Erupts In First Quarter, Cavs Dominate Blazers 137-125

Kevin Love made history and the Cavs crushed the Portland Trail Blazers 137-125 on Wednesday night.

Love scored 34 points in the first quarter, knocking down eight three-pointers, setting the franchise-record for most points in a quarter and most 3PTM in a quarter.

He also set the NBA record for highest scoring first quarter.

The Cavs cruised the rest of the way.

Love put up 40 points on the night, his highest scoring game in a Cavalier uniform. His eight three-pointers were a career-high.

LeBron James finished with 31 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds.

It was LeBron’s 44th career regular season triple-double, moving him into sixth all-time, passing Fat Lever.

Kyrie Irving quietly added 20 points.

Damian Lillard scored 40 in the loss.

Our Role Player of the Game is Channing Frye, who knocked down four 3-pointers en route to a 14-point performance off the bench.

Cleveland improves to 11-2 and is back in action against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night at 7:30 pm.
