After a huge offensive showing on Saturday, Nick Holley has been named the MAC East Offensive Player of the Week. Holley played a vital role in Kent State’s 38-31 victory over Howard University this past Saturday and the rest of the MAC Conference took notice.
Holley was an offensive juggernaut for the Golden Flashes on Saturday getting it down both through the air and on the ground. After a loss to Clemson in which Holley only threw for one passing yard he bounced back in a big way throwing for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Holley also led the way for the Golden Flashes rushing attacking finishing with a team high 119 yards and a touchdown coming on their first play from scrimmage.
Holley is the key component to the Golden Flashes offense with both his passing and rushing abilities. He will look to keep this momentum going this Saturday when he and the rest of the Golden Flashes head to West Virginia to take on Marshall University.
