The Canton Charge are playing a game in Los Angeles, while the Cavs are off until Monday evening in Oakland.
The logical conclusion?
Send Kay Felder to LA to put in some work.
The Cleveland Cavaliers announced Felder will join the Charge in LA to get some playing time.
He’s expected to return to the Cavaliers in time for Monday night’s game against the Warriors, where he is unlikely to see significant minutes.
Here’s the press release from the Cavs:
CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Cavaliers have assigned guard Kay Felder to the Canton Charge, the Cavaliers exclusively owned and operated NBA Development League team, Cavaliers General Manager David Griffin announced today.
Felder has played in one game for the Charge this season (12/28/16) scoring a game-high 33 points while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing seven assists in 38 minutes in a win over Greensboro in Canton.
Felder has appeared in 22 games for the Cavs this season, averaging 5.1 points in 10.6 minutes per game.
He will be available for tonight’s Charge game against the Los Angeles D-Fenders in Los Angeles at 9:30 p.m. EST.
