As first reported by Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, Josh Gordon’s petition for reinstatement has been denied by the NFL.
#Browns Josh Gordon's petition for reinstatement has been denied, but he can reapply in the Fall, per league source

The news comes roughly three weeks after Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant and Arizona Cardinals linebacker Daryl Washington were reinstated by the league.
Gordon can re-apply in the fall, but according to Cabot, Gordon’s future with the Browns is “unclear.”
A source told cleveland.com in March that they could try to trade him or possibly even release him. They have his rights for two more years after he’s reinstated.

We’ll see how it plays out, but one thing is for sure: the Browns have not been counting on Gordon’s return in any way, shape or form in the process of building the team from the ground up.
