Jose Ramirez Voted First Half American League MVP by MLB on Fox Fans, Corey Kluber First Half AL Cy Young

Recently MLB on FOX had fans vote for 2018 MLB Midseason Awards.

Two Cleveland Indians players won in the voting which was made by fans of MLB on FOX.

Jose Ramirez won American League MVP, which shouldn’t be a shock due to the fact that Ramirez is having a career year and many experts and fans have no idea what the ceiling of Ramirez could be.

In 95 games this season, Jose has hit .302/.400/.635, 27 doubles, 2 triples, 30 home runs (a career high), drove in 71 runs, and 20 stolen bases.

During the 2017 season, Ramirez finished the year with 29 home runs and was determined to finish the season with 30 homers…this year it only took the Indians third baseman 95 games to achieve his previous goal.

Indians ace and AL All-Star, Corey Kluber, won over Luis Severino gaining the upper hand in fan voting for the first half AL Cy Young Award Winner.

Kluber has started 20 games, has a record of 12-5, an ERA of 2.76, 1 complete game, has pitched in 133.2 innings, and has struck out 132 batters.

If Kluber continues his recent success from the first half of 2018, he can become a three-time Cy Young Award winner. Kluber would join the likes of Roger Clemens (7-time award winner), Randy Johnson (5 times), Steve Carlton and Greg Maddox (both 4 time), and lastly Sandy Koufax, Pedro Martinez, Jim Palmer, Tom Seaver, Clayton Kershaw, and Max Scherzer (all 3 time).

Klubot would be only the 11th pitcher to win the Cy Young Award 3 or more times in MLB history.
