Referred to by many as “Johnny Hockey” he was one of the best players in the game. Fans are showing their outpouring of sadness and respect.
Sports are more than just a game. Times such as this remind us of that. Gaudreau was a star on the ice however, more importantly he was a husband, father, son, and brother.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said this about Gaudreau:
“”Gaudreau often told the story of how his father taught him to skate as a child in his home state of New Jersey, and he carried that same youthful passion throughout his 11 NHL seasons,”
May the family of Johnny Gaudreau and those who knew him find some solace in this tragedy.
