CLEVELAND– John Marshall and MLK faced off in a Senate League matchup on Friday night, as Marshall preserved their undefeated conference record with a 69-50 win.
The Lawyers dominated in the second quarter. At the end of the first half, the Lawyers took a 37-18 lead. The Lawyers kept that momentum in the second half, and went up by 20 points with 4:18 left in the third quarter. Marshall continued to score efficiently while locking King up with intense defense. By the end of the frame, the Lawyers had a 52-29 lead.
The fourth quarter started a little rocky for the Lawyers, with them missing a few open shots. But it quickly turned around with a 59-36 lead. King couldn’t catch a break, and every time they scored, Marshall answered with a bucket of their own.
