CLEVELAND, Ohio- It’s been quite an eventful couple of days for Cleveland Browns Cornerback Joe Haden.
A few days after being named a Pro Bowl Alternate, Haden has received a lot of criticism. Haden made it a point to respond the critics: “This wasn’t the year or season I wanted for myself, but at the end of the day, when you haven’t won any games, it makes it a lot easier to pick on everything that’s going on. From looking at the film, my season wasn’t really that bad.”
On Thursday, Haden announced he will not be able to participate in the Pro Bowl this year due to offseason groin surgery he will be having to repair some of this season’s nagging injuries.
After all of the criticism he has faced lately, Haden is still appreciative of his situation.
“I just appreciated that fans, coaches and everybody still respected how I was playing this year even though it didn’t go nowhere near the way I expected to being I was injured and just trying to fight through the season. I thought it was pretty cool to be an alternate.”
