Following the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 132-117 victory over the Indiana Pacers, head coach Tyronn Lue said that LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love will “probably” rest during Thursday night’s game in Oklahoma City.
It’s the second night of a back-to-back set on the road and the Cavs are flying from Indiana to OKC overnight.
James averages the second-most minutes per game (37.6) in the NBA and Irving (35.2) is not far behind.
Love has played three straight games after missing two games due to back spasms.
If the Big Three don’t play, it’ll be interesting to see what lineup Lue throws out there.
Iman Shumpert is listed as out for the game due to an ankle sprain.
J.R. Smith’s absence has been an issue for the past six weeks.
The Cavs will only have eight guys available if all of the trio rests.
Possible lineup:
PG Kay Felder
SG DeAndre Liggins
SF Richard Jefferson
PF Channing Frye
C Tristan Thompson
Bench
Kyle Korver
James Jones
Jordan McRae
One thing is as close to certain as we can find in life. Thompson is not letting his consecutive games streak end any time soon if he has anything to say about it.
