Inside the Lines: Who to Take and Not Take This Weekend in College and Pro Football Action

Kansas City Chiefs

NFL Lines Week 6

New Orleans vs. Kansas City
Under 50.5

The New Orleans Saints are not the same team when you take them out of the dome. Brees has averaged 8.7 yards per attempt with 11 TDs to 2 INTs at home. On the road it plummets to 5.9 with 3 TDs to 2 INTs. Kansas City is in the top half of the NFL in terms of defenses making it even harder on Brees. The Chiefs are 18th in points scored so they won’t blow you away either with only one game of more than 30 points scored.

New York Giants vs. Los Angeles
Giants -3

The game is being played in London so the whole across the coast travel will affect both teams. In terms of talent the Giants are the clear favorites here. Odell Beckham finally had a breakout game in a big way last week and the Giants defense should be able to handle the weak Rams offense.

Washington vs. Detroit
Washington +1.5

Washington continues to get a lot of hate from the odds makers despite rattling off four in a row. This is a game of offensive teams that don’t like to run the ball. In a shootout I think the Redskins have more options on offense to use and Josh Norman can shut down Marvin Jones forcing Golden Tate to have a big game, something he has only done once this year.

Baltimore vs. New York Jets
Baltimore +2

A one win Geno Smith led team is a favorite. Is there anything more I really need to say about this game? The Jets offense has been bad and Darelle Revis has gotten burned consistently. The Jets are bad. The Ravens just need to show up and not blow it to win.

New England vs. Pittsburgh
New England -7

This had all the makings of a preview of the AFC Championship game and the winner being the favorite of the AFC. Then Roethlisberger went down. There is no way Landry Jones or Le’Veon Bell can keep up with Tom Brady. Brady will rip that weak secondary to shreds and the game could be over by halftime if he wants it to be.
