Most of us who were around in the 90’s recall the legendary Cleveland Crunch Pro Indoor Soccer team.
The brought the first championship to Cleveland in 30 years in 1994 when they won the NPSL championship with such stars as Otto Orf, Hector Marinaro and Zoran Karic.
Now, after a high demand of fans screaming for it, Semi -Professional Indoor Soccer has once again returned to Cleveland in the form of “The Cleveland Legacy”.
The “Cleveland Legacy” are already off and running in the PASL Premier League. Last night, they scored two goals in the final 50 seconds to overcome a 8-6 deficit and tie FC Indiana 8-8. This incredible road comeback pushed the Legacy’s record to 0-0-2.
The League consists of 30 teams in 6 divisions. The Legacy play in the Great Lakes Division alongside the Muskegon Risers, Cincinnati Swerve, Waza Premier and Youngstown Nighthawks.
They will now travel to Cincinnati on January 21rst to take on the Swerve at 8:30.
Their next home game is also their home opener on January 28 at the North Olmsted Soccer Sportsplex at 8pm against Swerve Academy. NEO Sports will be there to cover all the action.
In the meantime, if you want to further familiarize yourself with the Legacy, swing by their Facebook page at

It’s a shame that indoor soccer, such an exciting game with a winning legacy (pun intended), has fallen so far here in Cleveland.
For those of you who remember the Force and the Crunch just click on the link to my website.
