Indians Win Streak Snapped at Six Following 6-5 Loss to Orioles; Three Takeaways from the Loss

2. Tomlin’s Issues Resurface

Josh Tomlin was back to being the Tomlin that has had his issues this season, giving up the two homers to Machado, the biggest of which was the three-run bomb that tied the game up at five.

Tomlin on the night lasted 4.2 innings, allowing five runs on eight hits with no walks and eight strikeouts. He threw 85 pitches, 60 strikes, but overall if he could have kept the ball in the ballpark the team likely would have walked away with their 7th straight win.

The Tribe starter stays at 4-8 on the season with an ERA of 6.07. He is set to be back on the mound for the Indians Sunday at home against the Twins.
