2. Clevinger Gets His Fourth
Indians starter Mike Clevinger moved to 4-2 on the season with the victory over the Sox, going 6.2 innings, allowing one run on four hits, with two walks and seven K’s in the win.
Clev threw 108 pitches, and while early in the affair he had issues finding the strike zone, he ended the night with a solid 66 strikes.
In 25 batters faced he threw 18 first pitch strikes which is good, and also stepped up when it looked like the Sox could have crept back into the game, like in the third up 2-1 when he allowed a one-out triple but got out of the frame with no damage.
It was back to another quality start for Clevinger, who seemed to get better as the game went along, a good sign for the Tribe hurler.
