OAKLAND, Calif.– The Cleveland Indians will reportedly have some news regarding Danny Salazar in the coming days.
The news was reported by Jordan Bastian, ahead of Cleveland taking on the Oakland A’s.
“We are going to have some news here probably in the next couple days,” manager Terry Francona said. “We’re putting that together. It’s a little premature, but we’ll have some more information here in the next couple days.”
Francona also said that at this time he can’t say anymore.
“I really don’t think I can. I’d rather get our information in order first. But, we’re exploring some things, if that helps.”
Salazar has not pitched a single inning for the Indians in 2018– he’s been on the disabled list with a sore right shoulder and was officially diagnosed with right shoulder impingement tendinitis. Ever since his 2016 All-Star season, Salazar has struggled with various arm injuries and hasn’t really been the same.
In 2015, he went 14-10 with a 3.45 ERA.
