Indians tie longest winning streak of the year with ninth straight win; three takeaways

2. Sixth inning bat magic

While the Indians had a 5-0 lead through five, the sixth inning was when the floodgates opened.

The Tribe exploded for five runs in the inning that gave them their monstrous 10-0 lead.

Roberto Perez got the party started with a solo-homer to left field. Yandy Diaz recorded a one-out, RBI single four at-bats later, while Jay Bruce followed him with a sacrifice-fly RBI of his own.

In the next two at-bats, Edwin Encarnacion and Carlos Santana each drove in a run with a double and a single, respectively.

While the Indians had a big lead prior, the sixth inning was ultimately what washed any hopes of a Tigers comeback down the drain.
