1.) Cleveland Indians offense goes through Power Surge
The Indians began their scoring on the day with a 2-run homer from Edwin Encarnacion in the first inning and the homers did not stop there. In the 7th inning, Michael Brantley hit a 2-run homer of his own. To finish the power surge, Jose Ramirez hit a homerun in the 9th inning.
The Indians did not only just score off of the long ball though today. Carlos Santana hit an RBI single in the 5th inning and was then followed by a sacrifice fly by Francisco Lindor.
With the Indians powerful offense this evening they managed to knock out White Sox pitcher Mike Pelfrey after 4.1 innings pitched and made the Sox go to the bullpen earlier than they wanted to.
