The Cleveland Indians made a move regarding their roster today, clearing up their outfield and adding another arm.
The Tribe brought up Shawn Armstrong to help out the bullpen today after the team went through all their relievers yesterday in their 11-7 extra inning win over the Angels. Armstrong has a 1-0 record and a 2.33 ERA in 17 games with the Columbus Clippers as well as a 1-0 record with a 4.33 ERA in 16 games with the Tribe.
In order to bring up Armstrong, outfielder Abraham Almonte was sent down. Almonte has a .244 batting average in 44 games with the Tribe this year, hitting only three home runs and bring home ten runs.
It should just be a temporary thing to help out the pitching staff today, so no need to worry about injuries.
The Tribe play the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at 7:10pm at Progressive Field.
