Triple-A Columbus provided fans in Gwinnett County, Georgia a historic moment, though one they’d probably like to forget.
Shane Bieber, the Cleveland Indians’ eighth-ranked prospect, hurled a seven-inning no-hitter for the Clippers Friday evening against the Stripers. Bieber was excellent on the mound, striking out seven and not allowing a single walk.

Shane Bieber throws a rain-shortened no-hitter at Gwinnett (7 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K).
It's the eighth no-hitter in @CLBClippers history, first since Tyler Cloyd in 2014. #ClipShow

Columbus would win the game by a final score of 7-0 in what became a shortened game due to weather. Enough rain poured in for the contest to be called short of nine frames but that doesn’t take away from the game Bieber had.
