1.) Anything you can do, I can do better
In the first inning of the game, the Mariners struck for 3 runs and had back to back homers from Nelson Cruz and Kyle Seager. The Mariners had the first two batters in the game set down but had three consecutive hits.
The Indians answered back quickly though. Mariners starter, Yovani Gallardo walked Carlos Santana and Francisco Lindor to start the first inning. After Michael Brantley flew out to left field, Edwin Encarnacion drew a walk which loaded the bases for Jose Ramirez.
Ramirez drove in two runs for the Tribe with a double and advanced Encarnacion to third with 1 out. Two batters later Lonnie Chisenhall, drove in 2 more runs with a single up the middle and gave the Indians the lead 4-3 early in the first inning.
The Indians sent 9 batters up to the plate to start off the game.
