History has been made by your Cleveland Indians.
The Tribe handled the Chicago White Sox by a final score of 11-2, sweeping the White Sox and making it a franchise-record fifteenth straight win. Corey Kluber was marvelous in his outing and the offense excited throughout all nine innings.
Check out the three takeaways from the record-setting game.
1. Kluber Rolls- Corey Kluber struck out thirteen batters on his way to his fifteenth victory on the season. Kluber has been absolutely lights out this season and has all but locked up the AL Cy Young Award. Kluber bounced back quite nicely following a two-time first inning for Chicago, blanking the White Sox for the next six innings. The next question for Kluber is how many more wins he can add to his season?
2. Offense Continuing To Excite- Francisco Lindor, Edwin Encarnacion and Greg Allen went deep tonight. For Allen, it was his first major league home run. The long ball definitely helped the Tribe tonight and has during this win streak., as the team has hit 31 home runs during the fifteen-game stretch. The team has accomplished scoring in many different facets and tonight was no different.
3. Onto To Baltimore- With a rested team going back home, the Tribe take on the third-place Orioles, who are currently behind the Red Sox and Yankees. The Tribe have been able to consistently rest the starters and pull guys out of games during the middle innings after getting out to big leads, so the wear-and-tear of a long winning streak cannot be factored into the Indians’ run.
