Indians lose in Encarnacion’s homecoming to Toronto, Three Takeaways from 4-2 defeat

1.) Warm welcome for Edwin Encarnacion

Not only did the Toronto Blue Jays fans give Edwin Encarnacion a warm welcome but Encarnacion gave himself a warm welcome back to Toronto with a good day at the plate. Edwin went 2-3 on the day with two singles and a walk.

Following the warm welcome in Encarnacion’s first at-bat, Edwin greeted former teammate Marcus Stroman with a line drive off of his foot.

This was Edwin’s first game back to Toronto as mentioned before and the Blue Jays fans showed no hard feelings for their former all-star.

Encarnacion spent six full seasons with the Blue Jays and around that time fans from Toronto got to see him develop into the baseball player he is today.
