The Indians tonight will look to wrap up their road trip on a high note, as they look for a sweep of the Seattle Mariners out at T-Mobile Park.
Carlos Carrasco, who has had his issues as of late, will go for the Tribe. He comes into Thursday’s affair with a mark of 1-2 with a large ERA of 12.60.
His last time out Carrasco was roughed up, as he didn’t get out of the first inning in a bad loss to the Royals on Friday night.
Overall Carrasco has allowed six runs in two of his three starts this year. He is 4-3 with a 4.10 ERA in eight career appearances against Seattle, including seven starts.
The M’s will counter with righty pitcher Erik Swanson, who enters action Thursday 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA.
Trevor Bauer and Shane Bieber along with the Tribe pen have done a nice job shutting down the high-powered Seattle offense the first two games of the series.
The Mariners have totaled just nine runs in their past four losses, and Carrasco will look to keep that trend up tonight.
Here’s the starting nine for the Tribe:
Leonys Martin CF
