The Indians are back at it against the Minnesota Twins at Progressive Field this evening, looking for a chance to get a three-game sweep over the first-place Twins.
The Tribe enters the affair 9.5 back of the Twins in the AL Central, but have already cut the deficit by a pair of games with wins Tuesday and Wednesday.
Wednesday the team was down 5-1, but rallied with a pair of homers in the 7th inning and one in the 8th to seal the win. Jordan Luplow hit a two-run shot to tie the game, and Roberto Perez hit a solo shot to give the team the lead.
Francisco Lindor homered in the 8th and Brad Hand closed out the win for the Tribe as they move to 31-30 on the season.
Tonight it’s Trevor Bauer going for the Indians, he enters the game at 4-5 with an ERA of 3.76. He’ll go up against Twins ace Jose Berrios, who is an impressive 7-2 with an ERA of 3.27.
Berrios shutout the Indians on opening day with a 2-0 win at Target Field in Minnesota. Bauer came back for the team’s first win of 2019 two days later allowing one run on one hit over seven innings.
