Wednesday Night saw Indians starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco pitch his ninth complete game in his career so far and his first complete game at home. This was Cookie’s first complete game since September 6,2017 against the Chicago White Sox.
Carrasco pitched 9 innings pitched, gave up 3 hits, allowed 1 earned run, gave up 1 home run, walk 2 batters and struck out 6 batters.
Carrasco also extended his career-long win streak to nine games after tonight’s start. This streak dates back to August 27,2017, during the streak Carlos has gone 9-0 with an ERA of 1.92, giving up just 15 earned runs in 70.1 innings pitched over a span of 10 starts.
The Indians right handed pitcher has also won 12 consecutive decisions against AL Central opponents; which is the second-longest streak against a single division, behind Zach Greinke.
Greinke has won 14 consecutive decisions against the NL East dating back to August 23,2014 and still currently maintains that streak.
