1.) Tribe Scoring Without the Long Ball
In the fourth inning of Wednesday’s game, the Cleveland Indians managed to put together a four run inning which gave Cleveland an early 4-0 lead over the Tigers.
That was only the second time in the 2018 season that the Indians managed to score four runs or more in an inning outside of a four run inning they put together against the Seattle Mariners when Yonder Alonso hit a grand slam. The Indians have also struggled to score more than 4 runs in a game so far this year and on Wednesday marked only their fourth time in twelve games.
Just the 2nd inning in which the #Indians have scored four or more runs in 2018, the first 4-run inning came in the first inning of the second game on a Yonder Alonso grand slam – only the 4th of now 12 games the team will have scored 4 or more runs total

The Indians managed to score without hitting a home run in the fourth inning and did it in a very rare way that has not been seen to often this season; Cleveland put together an inning that saw the team produce six singles, four runs, and a double steal from Jose Ramirez and Michael Brantley.
Indians only managed to score 10 runs in their first 5 home games before tonight.
