CLEVELAND – Indians Twitter was on fire Tuesday after the team lost to the Reds in stunning fashion 7-4, a loss that was amplified by the fact there was a ‘communication’ error between manager Terry Francona and pitching coach Carl Willis that led them to going to the wrong reliever with two outs in the 9th and the Indians still up 4-3.
The result was Dan Otero entering the game instead of Oliver Perez, and Otero allowed a 3-2 double to Joey Votto which cleared the bases and made it a 6-4 affair.
As would be expected after such a stunning setback, twitter was abuzz about the Indians and their manager following the miscue that put what looked to be an easy win in the ‘L’ column instead.

There is no lead the #Indians bullpen can’t blow. That’s why I think they’re DOA in October unless they get busy making trades.

I don’t complain about the Indians often but the organization failing to do ANYTHING with this failed bullpen is a total embarrassment.
