1.) Carlos Carrasco and the Bullpen
Carlos Carrasco did not get the victory during Wednesday’s game but he did provide 6 1/3 innings and earned his 13th quality start of the season which leads the team. Carrasco was tied with Corey Kluber heading into the game but now surpasses him and now has the 7th most in the American League.
Carrasco has tossed a quality start in all five of his career outings against the Angels.
Carrasco pitched 6.1 innings, gave up 6 hits, allowed 2 earned runs, struck out 5, allowed 1 homer, and hit 2 batters.
The Indians did have to go to the bullpen the day after an 11 inning game. Bryan Shaw came in for one inning and to the surprise of some fans that have been hating on the Indians relief pitcher for the whole season, has had 39 appearances not allowing an earned run.
Today is Bryan's 39th appearance this season without allowing an earned run. https://t.co/SuyK4yinCs
