Indians Announce 2016 Tribe Fest on January 30th

CLEVELAND —The Cleveland Indians on Friday announced details for Tribe Fest 2016, presented by KeyBank, set for January 30 from 9AM-7PM.

New this year, the event will be held at Aloft Cleveland Downtown in Cleveland’s revitalized Flats East Bank neighborhood. As renovations continue at Progressive Field, space restrictions are in place that made holding Tribe Fest at the ballpark untenable this year. Due to the location change, space and ticket availability at Aloft will be limited. Fans are encouraged to get their tickets as soon as possible, beginning Wednesday, December 9.

The fourth annual event will feature 2014 Cy Young winner Corey Kluber, All-Star Jason Kipnis, 2014 Silver Slugger winner Yan Gomes, Rookie of the Year runner-up Francisco Lindor, Lonnie Chisenhall, Bryan Shaw, Cody Anderson, Jeff Manship, Zach McAllister, Abraham Almonte, Jose Ramirez, Giovanny Urshela and others. (All player appearances are subject to change.)

Other current players, Tribe coaches and alumni, and executives also will be on hand, with names being announced as appearances are confirmed.

TICKETS

General Admission tickets are $5 for adults and kids, and tickets are available online only, starting at 10AM Wednesday, December 9, at Indians.com/TribeFest.

PARKING

Parking is available at multiple surface lots in Flats East Bank, the garage adjacent to Aloft Cleveland Downtown, via valet outside Aloft. RTA’s Waterfront line also serves Flats East Bank, and will be open on the day of Tribe Fest.

AUTOGRAPHS

Autographs can be guaranteed by purchasing an autograph ticket bundled at the same time with the general admission ticket online at Indians.com/TribeFest. Autograph sessions are scheduled as follows:

9AM-2PM Tribe Fest general admission ticket:

·         9:15-10:15AM

·         10:30-11:30AM

·         11:45AM-12:45PM

·         1PM-2PM

2PM-7PM Tribe Fest general admission ticket:

·         2:15PM-3:15PM

·         3:30PM-4:30PM

·         4:45-5:45PM

Fans are required to purchase an autograph pass in addition to their General Admission ticket if they would like to be guaranteed a spot in an autograph session line. Prices for autograph sessions are:

·         $20/ticket for Indians Alumni player sessions

·         $25/ticket for Indians Major League roster player sessions

Each Tribe Fest event features multiple autograph sessions, for which 130 tickets will be sold. Autographs for specific players are not guaranteed, just a space in line.  If autograph sessions are not sold out, fans will be allowed to wait in line for autographs, time permitting and on a first-come, first-serve basis.

In order to maximize the amount of fans able to experience each autograph session at Tribe Fest, the purchase of autograph tickets has been limited to four per autograph session per transaction. Additionally, only one autograph session ticket per person will be honored at each autograph station.

 ACTIVITIES

Various Indians players will participate in celebrity bartending sessions at Aloft’s WXYZ Lounge, offering fans (ages 21 and over) another a chance to interact with players. Those sessions will take place from 2:15PM-3:15PM and 4:45PM-5:45PM. (Separate tickets [$15], in addition to general admission tickets, are required for entry into celebrity bartending events. A portion of bar sales will benefit Cleveland Indians Charities.)

A host of activities for young fans includes face painters, caricature artists, temporary tattoo artists, inflatables, and visits with Slider and the hot dogs.
