The Cleveland Indians will be getting a welcomed return as soon as this weekend, as the starting second basemen for the Tribe, Jason Kipnis, will get activated off of the disabled list this Sunday. Kipnis has been on the DL since July 9th. Zack Meisel was one of the first to tweet out the news.

This season, Kipnis is batting a meager .232 with 8 home runs and 26 RBI’s in the 66 games he has played in. Though he isn’t having a great offensive year, the defensive prowess that the 30-year-old provides is definitely an upgrade and exciting for the Tribe.
The Tribe take on the New York Yankees tonight at Progressive Field starting at 7:10pm.
