Indians 3B Jose Ramirez Reportedly Okay After Leaving Today’s Game Vs Twins After Getting Hit By Pitch

Indians fans are holding the breath today after third basemen Jose Ramirez was plunked on the hand/forearm by a pitch by Twins starter Kyle Gibson in the second inning.

The Tribe All-Star began to go to first after being hit, but then stopped and knelt down as manager Terry Francona and the team’s trainer rushed ran out to check him.

He did walk off under his own power, and was replaced at 3B by Giovanny Urshela.

*UPDATE*

Ramirez appears to be okay after getting hit by a pitch in the first game of the doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins. Zack Meisel gave an update on Twitter.

A sigh of relief can now take place for Tribe fans, as the beloved third basemen is a big part of the team and the Tribe cannot afford to keep having the injury bug strike.
