Ellie Templeton-Cross Country/Track-Baldwin Wallace University
Ellie, the daughter of Jeannette and Cal, and sister of Emily and Nate will become a Yellow Jacket for Baldwin Wallace University. She is a 4 year letter winner for the Lady Demons Cross Country team and was a member of this season’s SWC Champion team. She has been recognized as the Newcomer of the Year, the MVP in her sophomore season, the Coaches Award in her junior season and Most Improved runner this past season. She plans to major in Criminal Justice.
Dominic Bauer-Men’s Soccer-The University of Findlay
Dominic, the son of Deserai and Greg, and brother of Joshua, Hannah and Maya (who plays soccer for Mercyhurst University) has decided to become an Oiler for the University of Findlay. Dominic has earned three soccer letters for the Demons while being a starter for the last two seasons. He has also earned letters in Track and Field. He plans on majoring in Marketing or Finance.
Meredith Hansen-Women’s Soccer-Cleveland State University
Meredith, the daughter of Carolyn and Eric, and sister of Morgan, Grace and Gabrielle has decided to become a Viking for Cleveland State University. Meredith is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society, Student Council and has also served as a Leadership Challenge peer facilitator. She has volunteered for the Westlake Demon Athletic Booster Club as well as the Westlake Historical Society.
She is a 4 year soccer letter winner and a 3 year starting midfielder. Twice she has served as a captain for the SWC Champion Lady Demons. She was named All SWC 2nd team as a sophomore and All SWC 1st Team as both a junior and senior. Meredith has also been an All Greater Cleveland selection all three years including 1st team this past season.
In her junior season, she was named as the team’s offensive MVP. Her career totals are 28 goals and 18 assists. In addition to her soccer accolades, Meredith also possesses 3 varsity letters in Cross Country and was an All SWC runner for the Demons and a member of an SWC Championship team as well as being the team MVP her freshman season and also a member of a Regional Qualifying team. Meredith plans to major in Health Sciences.
Alise Emser-Women’s Soccer-Indiana State University
Alise, the daughter of Halle and Brian, and sister of Austin has chosen to become a Sycamore for Indiana State University. Alise is a 4 year letter winner for the SWC Lady Demon soccer team and was named as the Defensive MVP in her Demon career. She was twice named as All SWC 1st team. Alise has also been an All Greater Cleveland 2nd
Team selection and this past season as an All Greater Cleveland 1st team selection. She was also named as a 2nd Team All Ohio Selection. Alise is also a multisport athlete earning 4 letters in Swimming having already been a three time district qualifier and hopefully a four time as the season continues this weekend. Alise will major in nursing.
Cory DuBois-Men’s Soccer-The Ohio State University
Cory, the son of Cathy and Pete, and brother of Donovan and Katie, will attend The Ohio State University and play for the Buckeyes. This past season, Cory, was named as a 1st Team All SWC Player, 1st Team All Greater Cleveland player and also an All-Ohio selection.
He served as a varsity captain and was a nominee for SWC Player of the Year. In addition to his athletic exploits, Cory also carries a 4.4 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society. He plans to be a business major.
