Week Nine saw a great slate of high school football games! There were many standout players. We at NEOSI have sorted through the games and found the candidates for this week’s Player of the Week. Voting closes Thursday and winner will be announced then. You can come back and vote once daily!
Dan Stoddard – Medina
Medina Bees QB Dan Stoddard continues to shine. Friday night against Shaker Heights Stoddard turned in another dazzling performance in the Bees 70-38 win over the Red Raiders.
Dan was 25 for 35 passing racking up 466 yards and 4 TDs and carried the pigskin 13 times for 96 yards and 4 more touchdowns!! Do the math!! He accounted for 562 yards of offense and 8 touchdowns…in one game!
Ethan Roksandich – Brunswick
Brunswick’s junior QB ran nine times for 40 yards and was 12 for 17 throwing the ball for a season high 208 yards. Roksandich also had a career high four touchdowns in the Blue Devil’s 34-0 rout of Solon on Homecoming night.
Brandon White – St. Edward
Brandon White had a great game against Moeller as he ran for 262 yards on 32 carries. In addition, White had two touchdown runs and he also caught four passes for 68 yards. He helped lead St Edward to a 28-21 victory over Moeller.
Jordan Johnson – Hawken
For the second week in a row Jordan Johnson is a POTW candidate. Johnson had 144 yards on the ground with four TDs and an interception on defense. Johnson scored on an an electrifying 65-yard run to put the game away at 40-20 over Chagrin Falls.
