In a half where each team came out starting a little slower than they had hoped, one team was able to put themselves in great position for a title. The Minster Wildcats received the opening kickoff and ran one play before senior quarterback Jared Huelsman threw an interception directly into the hands of the Cuyahoga Heights Redskin defense.
This would be the only mistake Huelsman would make in the first half as he finished 10-16 for 135 yards through the air, and another 120 yards on the ground on 19 carries. Just on yardage alone it was obvious that Huelsman came ready to play but then you add in the 3 touchdowns he scored and the Wildcats hold a 19-7 lead over Cuyahoga Heights.
