MEDINA, Ohio – The JV squad of the Medina Bee’s looked impressive tonight scoring 16 runs on 16 hits to beat the visiting Strongsville Mustangs 16 – 7. Garrett Kiene picked up the win and Andy Blazer came into the game in relief to close it out and pick up the save.
The varsity Bee’s took it on the chin tonight in a 10-0 loss at the hands of the visiting Mustangs. A great team like the Bee’s never need to make any excuses for an off night on the rare chance it occurs, but it cannot be ignored that they have played 7 games in the last 7 days, a feat that even major league ball club’s would suffer fatigue from.
Mustang pitcher Ian Hennessey shut down the Bee’s for the second time in a week. Tossing a two hit shutout. Strongsville senior Nico Ramicone had a great night, hitting a single in the first inning to get things started, then followed that up with a RBI triple in the top of the third to blow things open.
The Bee’s dropped their record to 10 – 6 on the season but will look to bounce back tomorrow as they play their 8th game in 8 days against Solon in Solon.
